How do you get published?

I suggest sacrificing small animals (ground squirrels in particular) to the gods of literary serendipity. It helps if you have something written (don’t burn it just yet). The fine folks at Latah Books have been stalwart supporters and collaborators of my process and are already nursing me through the next project.

Do you still live off-grid?

No. I feel rather like a traitor. Currently, this author is preparing to build a new house on a new hilltop, but amenities such as gas and power are actually within reach. Exactly how we’ll weave in our commitment to conservation, I’m not sure but, in the meantime, we’re recycling more.
